The ancient dwellers of South America used to grow the Kakav: Gods's food. However, only the sovereign, the nobility and the warriors could eat it. The legend says that the god Quetzcoati gave the plant seed to mankind to make an energetic and aphrodisiac drink. A soon as the “conquistadores” discovered this drink they fell in love with it and decided to export it to Europe. Chocolate was not successful at first since it was considered as a rude drink and it took a while to become the best product for the art of patisserie. The Bellamia chocolate is pride. It is a remarkable trademark. Bellamia therefore produces the most classic of flavours which the gods still love.
